Irrigation FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some signs my lawn is not receiving enough water?

The blades of grass in the heat of the day will curl up and turn a light grey/ green color. Long term lack of water will cause the grass to die or become overrun with various weeds.

Can my lawn receive too much water?

Yes, too much water can damage your lawn and make it more susceptible to fungus problems. It is best to make sure your rain sensor is on and working to prevent over-watering. Also in addition to a properly functioning rain sensor properly calibrating your irrigation system is an important step to ensuring your lawn is receiving the correct amount of water.

Can Ocean View help ensure I am receiving the property amount of water?

We can help by troubleshooting under watered or overwatered turf areas, adjusting the time clock, inspecting and running the system, making repairs to the system as needed, and adjusting or replacing heads to ensure proper coverage.

What days each week can I water my property?

For residential properties odd addresses can be watered on Wednesdays and Saturdays and even addresses on Thursdays and Sundays. Commercial properties can water on Tuesday and Fridays. These limitations do not apply to lawns that have been recently fertilized or lawns containing new sod.
